VPI Titan Turntable is VPI statement to the industry

Building on the legacy of the Avenger turntable, the VPI Titan turntable is designed to handle up to three tonearms of any make or length. Utilizing a machined acrylic/aluminium/acrylic sandwich-design chassis on top of our pneumatic air-suspension isolation footers, the Titan is set to be the most stable, and isolation-oriented turntable in the VPI quiver of decks.

Let Your Analog Imagination Run Wild with the VPI Titan: Rivals the Sound of Master Tape, Features Enhanced Reference 3D Tonearm, Plays with Indescribable Realism and Detail</span

VPI set its sights on a new analog benchmark – one that rivals the sound of founder Harry Weisfeld’s Ampex ATR-102 tape machine – in the form of the Titan turntable. You hear ‘tables described as featuring deep-black backgrounds from which the music is laid out before you, but you’ve never witnessed a noise floor this low. You’ve read about explosive dynamics, transient attack, and remarkable speed stability, but you have never before experienced the realism this musical instrument produces in your home.

Titan is based around a 44-pound slave platter driving the main bearing, a system that imparts no background noise. Its built-in air-suspension, leveling feet isolate a measured 98% of all loudspeaker feedback and vibration. A tweaked version of VPI’s 12-inch Reference 3D tonearm – Fat Boy with a built-in Dual Pivot – delivers improved soundstaging and an indescribably controlled bottom end. A further new design feature stems from the the implementation of analog-based oscillators to generate low-distortion analog sine waves for Titan’s 33/45RPM motor assembly. According to VPI, a regenerated AC-sine wave virtually eliminates any power line-associated noise from entering the electronic signal path. This provides pure, smooth AC power to the turntable motor. A specially designed Analog Drive System (ADS) delivers even more current to the ‘table for perfect-pitch stability.
